Create a bold, 70s-inspired visual identity and in-event details for the signature fundraising event that celebrates Madison’s unique parks, highlights the Madison Parks Foundation’s mission, and inspires guests to support its ongoing impact through donations.
Designer notes:
Designing for this year’s Picnic in the Park, presented by Event Essentials, was a chance to blend bold 70s-inspired visuals with meaningful storytelling that honors Madison’s parks and the mission of the Madison Parks Foundation. From the retro color palette and groovy type to playful patterns and nostalgic details, every design choice aimed to spark joy while reinforcing a deeper message: our parks are vibrant, inclusive, and worth investing in. This event isn’t just a celebration—it’s a call to action. Through this visual storytelling, we’re building awareness of the Foundation’s critical work, spotlighting the uniqueness of Madison’s green spaces, and inviting guests to be part of sustaining their core campaign and vision: Parks for All.
